Well-being

On The Day

Monday 12th January 2009 sees Maes Glas Sports Centre hosting all manner of interesting things, all along the theme of your health, well-being and development, to excite, appeal and intrigue you!

The Well-being Day will provide you with the opportunity to learn more about the array of subjects that health and well-being covers. Although you will get the chance to 'have a go' at a few different sports and recreational activities on the day, health and well-being isn't just about exercising until you drop. It also covers food and nutrition, mindfulness as well as the environment and getting to know the bugs, both friend and foe which we live with on a daily basis.

So come along to the Well-being Day. Everyone is invited and it’s sure to be an interesting event for all of us to learn and meet other people at the University. It could also, perhaps even be the start of a new hobby and a new you!

Please don't think the day is just about Health and Safety Services and Human Resources providing you with more policies and procedures and Maes Glas telling you to exercise more. The Well-being Day is also supported by external agencies and professionals such as: Cais, North Wales NHS professionals and Stop Smoking Wales and closer to home other University Departments such as Catering Services, Staff Development, Environment Professionals and IMSCaR.

Hope to see you there!
